Mission and Programs

Humanity was created for freedom. Using the arts of fashion and beauty, we empower youth overcoming trafficking, homelessness, and other injustices.

Program:Freedom and Fashion Mentorship Program
Budget: NaN
Category: Education
Population Served: Youth/Adolescents only (14 - 19 years)

Program Description:

Many of us can recall a time in our life when we felt hopeless, lost, maybe even forgotten. These feelings, when combined with physical abuse, neglect, and torture, can be overbearing. It has robbed many people all over the world of their freedom. The Freedom and Fashion Mentorship Program exists to empower and transform those it serves, taking each student from a place of discouragement and brokenness to a reality of power and inspiration. Using fashion, mentorship, and the power of story, we transform thinking while creating a fashion line. Above learning the marketable skills of the fashion and beauty industry, our youth are provided with a new way to look at themselves, their pasts, and their future. By infusing these practical lessons with important conversations about self image, leadership, the power of choice, etc, it has been proven that students break through unhealthy cycles, heal from past traumas, and experience true freedom. After the completion of all programs, we will come together in celebration and support our youth in their overcoming and completion of the program by hosting a fashion show that will debut the student’s designs. This simultaneously serves as an awareness platform.
