Referring a child: Requests for wishes come from medical professionals, parents or legal guardians, and the children themselves.
Giving: Donors can contribute online, by phone, or by mail. They can also donate frequent flier miles, make a tribute or memorial donation in honor of someone, or make an in-kind donation.
Partnering: There are many opportunities for companies to participate in meaningful and successful cause-related alliance programs with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our goal is to build the capacity within or staff and volunteer team to fulfill the wish of every eligible child, as well as to conduct the medical and community outreach needed to increase our referral base so we may be there for every child facing a critical illness. Our passion is to ensure that we grant the heartfelt wish of every child we serve, giving them a transformational experience - one that gives them hope, strength and joy as they face a very dark time in their childhood.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are proud of our over 500 volunteers in NH who serve as wish granters, ambassadors, event fundraisers, and office volunteers. They are the driving force behind our success. Our active and engaged Board serves as our North Star as we work within the community to be more effective annually. Our event host who create fundraising events for us enable us to engage the community in our work and provide the resources to continue to serve an ever growing number of children. Our amazing donor base gives us the added financial resources to reach so many children one child at a time.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We know we need to continue our outreach with the medical community to ensure the Medical Community and the families we serve know about and understand the magic we can create. Health care professional and parents through our wish impact studies have shared with us that a wish is a life-changing experience for the children we serve. We know we have the passion to reach every eligible child we will continue to grow stronger in our outreach, resource acquisition and processes to get there while maintaining a high level of magic for each family. We know that we will need to continue to engage more volunteers and give them the training and tools they will need to be successful.

- We review compensation data across the organization (and by staff levels) to identify disparities by race.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
