Vision
Alliance for Nevada Nonprofits is the go-to organization that delivers relevant and market-sensitive products and services to Nevada’s charitable nonprofits through outreach, education and advocacy while capitalizing on economies of scale, cost savings, efficiency, and a sustainable, virtual business model.
Mission
To strengthen communities by increasing the influence and capacity of Nevada’s nonprofit sector.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Outreach
**Improve communication within Nevada’s nonprofit sector by email, social media and website.
**Apply for Google Grant for free search engine marketing with Google AdWords.
**Offer a monthly eNewsletter and social media/website updates regularly.
**Partner with JobTarget to create an online career center with job and resume listings.
Education
**Expand webinar offerings to twice per month.
**Repurpose webinar replay videos and products.
**Deliver annual, regional conferences and occasional workshops.
**Expand training archive.
Advocacy
**Be a single voice for Nevada nonprofits in public policy state-wide and nationally.
**Lobby at Nevada legislative sessions.
**Educate sector around legislation that may impact Nevada nonprofits.
Cost Savings
**Expand current with new benefits, products and services like unemployment packages, conferences, compensation study, etc.
Efficiency
**Research and strategically deliver relevant “best practice” products and services.
**Transition from morning roundtables to full-day conferences with pre-conference workshops.
**Strengthen committee structure and member engagement.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Outreach
**Board with expertise in creating and running sustainable, virtual business models, as well as training Nonprofit Virtual Assistants (VAs).
**Largest database of nonprofit email addresses in Nevada (over 3,724).
**Expertise in creating and managing Google AdWords campaigns, if Google Grant is approved.
**Knowledge of using online tools, like Eventbrite, Vertical Response.
**Knowledge of social media, website design and Internet marketing.
**Agreement with JobTarget to a career center.
Education
**Expertise in webinar delivery.
**Intern to research state association “best practices.”
**Archive of training materials.
**Permission to make available 4 modules on board leadership training.
Advocacy
**Paid lobbyist.
**Approval from Board for lobbying expenses.
**Leading expert in compliance (solicitation training and financial systems/reports).

**Over 14,178 hours of professional development provided since 2007.
**Over 3,184 nonprofit leaders have been served since 2007.
**Training archive with all webinar replay videos has been created (value = over $1,997).
**Received permission from grant funder to make available 4 modules on board leadership training (value = $5,000).
Advocacy
**Approval from Board for lobbying expenses.
**Testified and developed position paper around AB 60.
**Strong partnerships established with Nevada Secretary of State and Attorney General offices.
