IRS Announces 990 Workshops for Small & Mid-Sized Nonprofits

The workshops will cover the procedures that 501(c)(3) nonprofits must follow to maintain their tax-exempt status and to comply with their tax obligations.

Department of Commerce Announces
2004 TOP Grant Round

Approximately $12.9 million is available for grants through the Commerce Department's Technology Opportunities Program (TOP) for fiscal year 2004. The application kit for FY04 provides information on the program, rules for applying, suggestions for preparing an application, and the standard forms you need to prepare a TOP application. The deadline for applications is April 27, 2004.

Individuals who are not affiliated with organizations applying for funding may register to review applications for TOP. Reviewers should have expertise in new telecommunications and information technology applications for the provision of educational, health care, or public information in the nation's public and nonprofit sectors.
