From the President's OfficeDear Friend: GuideStar's mission is "to revolutionize philanthropy and nonprofit practice by providing information that advances transparency, enables users to make better decisions, and encourages charitable giving." We strive to achieve it in several ways: by making nonprofit information available at no charge to millions of people each year, both on our site and on our partners' sites; by providing more in-depth data and tools to professional users; by giving nonprofits a platform, at no cost to them, to tell their stories and work more efficiently; by giving donors the ability to donate to charities directly from our site; by partnering with GreatNonprofits to let the public measure what really matters about a nonprofit—how well it accomplishes it mission; and by educating people about the sector and the organizations that make it up. This year, we expanded our educational efforts by offering several webinars each month.
