Licensing of GuideStar's Search Engine and Database

GuideStar licenses its search engine and database to several Web sites, thus increasing exposure for the nonprofits in the database. For a complete list of sites that have licensed GuideStar data, see GuideStar Partners.

Receiving On-line Donations on the GuideStar Web Site

Eligible nonprofits listed on the GuideStar Web site are automatically included in GuideStar's on-line donation program. Donations are processed through Network for Good.

Eligible Nonprofits

All 501(c)(3) public charities in the GuideStar database are automatically included in licensed data and on-line donations, as are other 501(c) organizations that may be eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions if those contributions are for public or charitable purposes.

Removing Your Organization from On-line Donations and Other GuideStar Collaborations

An organization can remove its information from licensed data and/or on-line donations. If your organization chooses not to participate in these programs, the organization's information will still remain in the GuideStar database and will be displayed on the GuideStar Web site.
