The mission of Marine Mammals of Maine (MMoME) is to provideresponse and assistance for stranded marine animals and to work collaboratively with similar organizations to aid in the protection and support of marine animals as defined by the Marine Mammal Protection Act. We will also provide public education about marine animals and their environment.

Marine Mammals of Maine is working to become authorized by NOAA Fisheries to respond to stranded marine mammals along the coast of southern and midcoast Maine. We will use a broad network of trained volunteers to expedite assessment and aid to these animals for the best and most humane outcomes possible.
