Mission Statement
BRA’s humanitarian mission addresses the difficult socio-economic and health needs for children and their families severely affected by extreme poverty, disease and hunger in Haiti and the Dominican Republic – regardless of race, gender, creed, religion, national origin, social status or political affiliations. BRA delivers critical health services and free medicines and food supplies to 200,000 each year who are at high risks of diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Cholera, Tuberculosis and malnutrition. These populations, including pregnant women, orphaned and vulnerable children, the elderly, people living with HIV/AIDS and Haiti's earthquake-affected Internally-Displaced people live in sub-basic conditions in economically-isolated communities where lives are at stake.

Leadership Statement:
Dear friends/supporters:
When I received the invitation letter from President Bill Clinton to join the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in January 2011, I understood the magnitude of the gesture and what it meant for us as an organization. It was another milestone for BRA and the beginning of a long journey to work alongside the private sector, other non-governmental organizations and global leaders to effectively confront the world’s most pressing issues on poverty reduction, improvement of the environment, and increased access to health and education.
It also meant bringing to the forefront our social service work agenda in the Dominican Republic and Haiti and be proactive in identifying and securing bona fide partnerships to help us achieve our goals and objectives.
There is a lot to be done, but also a lot more to be proud of, including the establishment of our first Food Security System involving the production of crops and animals and distribution of highly nutritional food products to ensure food independence and economic self-sufficiency for thousands of families living in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Your generous gift supports the BRA working for socio-economic justice for the poor and the marginalized in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The health care, education, HIV/AIDS & Tuberculosis, and economic self-sufficiency projects you help support are designed to become financially self-sustaining, furthering your contribution.
I thank you for journeying with us because with your support and assistance, we will do much more, together.
Sincerely,
Ulrick Gaillard, J.D.
