<div><div>Private enterprise can transform lives. Here’s how it works: TechnoServe helps businesses increase their revenues. These enterprises then create new jobs and buy more products from small-scale producers. The benefits from these new sources of income ripple through families and communities. Our results in 2011:</div><ul><li>Build businesses and industries: 4,570 businesses assisted in more than a dozen countries.</li><li>Employ people: 61,000 employees were paid $20 million in wages.</li><li>Buy products: $142 million in products were bought from 447,200 small-scale producers.</li><li>Increase revenues: $315 million in revenues earned and $81 million in profits.</li><li>Transform lives: 2.5 million men, women and children benefited from TechnoServe income sources.</li></ul></div>

<div>Bruce McNamer is the president and CEO of TechnoServe, a nonprofit that works with enterprising people in the developing world to build competitive farms, businesses and industries. In his leadership role, Bruce is responsible for progress toward achievement of the organization's mission, vision, values and financial objectives. </div><div><br /></div><div>Before joining TechnoServe in 2004, Bruce built a career that spanned the public and private sectors. Bruce was a senior executive and founder at start-ups Verified Identity Pass (Clear ID), Appfluent Technology and Varsity Group. He worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Bruce was also a White House Fellow at the National Economic Council and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay.</div><div><br /></div><div>Bruce is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Civil Society Leader for the World Economic Forum. He received an A.B. in History from Harvard University, a J.D. from Stanford Law School and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.</div><div><br /></div><div>Bruce is a native of Billings, Montana.</div>

Program Description:
The Haiti Hope Project is a five-year, $9.5 million public-private partnership among businesses, multilateral development institutions, the U.S. Government and nonprofits, designed to create sustainable economic opportunities for Haitian mango farmers and their families.
Program Long-Term Success:
Haiti Hope aims to double the incomes of 25,000 Haitian mango farmers five years after they join the Project. Achieving this goal will raise the standard of living for beneficiary farmers and contribute to the long-term development and revitalization of the country.
