Impact Summary from the Nonprofit
In 2012 our attendance increased due to the addition of different schools in the area. We advertised the park and sold produce from our gardens and chickens through a Farmer's Market at a local university . This also provided us with the opportunity to increase public awareness of our Farmstay program to the college students and parents. To further improve public awareness, we continued our membership in the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce. We continued to develop a volunteer program with Trapping Brook House , an addiction treatment facility. We joined the WOOF program and obtained several live-in volunteers through them. We developed a pond a the property into a domestic waterfowl refuge and provide for 20+ ducks. In 2013, we intend to continue increasing public awareness and attendance through other public venues, increased Farmstay attendance and organizational outreach programs.
