Mission Statement
<em>The mission of the Pennsylvania Adult/Older Adult Suicide Prevention Coalition is to provide
education and collaborate with the community to prevent suicide, reduce the
stigma associated with suicide, and support those touched by suicide.</em>

<div> In 2011 our goals are to conduct two regional suicide prevention forums, a suicide prevention awareness event, two Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk trainings, and develop coalition website.<br />

<p >· Participants will overcome their fear and avoidance of the topic of suicide.</p>

<p >· Participants will be empowered to engage persons who are displaying the warning signs and risk factors of suicide.</p>
<p >· Participants will gain valuable knowledge about suicide prevention resources and learn where and how to access help when they identify a suicidal person.</p>
