2. To provide tools, instruction and other resources that will enable homeowners to repair and maintain their homes economically.
3. To promote community recognition of the need to preserve, maintain and upgrade the City’s older housing, so it remains competitive.
4. To strengthen the financial management skills of residents, so they will be able to understand budgeting and credit, borrow funds to purchase and/or maintain a home, and serve as responsible members of the community.
5. To combat the impact of seriously deteriorated foreclosed properties by purchase/renovation projects that demonstrate both quality rehabilitation and updated design.
6. To address forces that negatively impact maintenance of our City’s housing stock, through education, advocacy and programming.

Leadership Statement:
Home Repair Resource Center provides a vehicle for an effective public/private partnership for neighborhood revitalization. We help residents meet the repair needs of their homes, preventing deterioration and blight. We feel strongly about empowering the communtiy, and so HRRC's programs are self-help, with counseling and education components that increase the ability of residents to maintain their homes over the long term. Thus, the benefits of our programs and activities extend beyond the individuals served to the community at large.
