Impact Summary from the Nonprofit

We help patients and their families look beyond the common drug therapies that manage Atrial Fibrillation but do not cure it. Each month tens of thousands of A-Fib patients and their families visit our website, A-Fib.com, seeking hope and guidance. Healthcare professionals around the world refer their patients to www.A-Fib.com. Started in 2002, our website Atrial Fibrillation: Resources for Patients, A-Fib.com, has been written and published by Steve S. Ryan, PhD, at his own expense. In March 2012 we published our first book for A-Fib patients and their families: Beat Your A-Fib: The Essential Guide to Finding Your Cure. It's receiving 5-star reviews on Amazon.com and is available as a softcover book and a digital eBook. In December 2012, we completed a overhaul of our ten year old A-Fib.com website. This included a new infrastructure and hosting platform with greatly expanded features capabilities. Today, A-Fib.com maintains a familiar look and navigation and the same reputable content, but now we can offer readers more educational illustrations, photos and video links and new features like our 'search our site' function. In 2013, we will roll-out our 'A-Fib Alerts' email subscription service to deliver A-Fib-related news direct to the readers' desktop. In addition, we will survey and update our world-wide directory of over 1,000 doctors and facilities who treat A-Fib.
