Mission Statement
The mission of EEGAN is to provide the much needed food, clothing, shelter, medical care/assistance, education and vocational/professional training to the section of the society who are deprived of the above basic needs. EEGAN believes that by providing these basic needs, the lives of the underprivileged section of the society will improve making them better citizens which will result in the uplift of the society.

Leadership Statement:
Mrs. Malarvizhi Ilagnayeru is an avid community service activist. She volunteers in many activities both in the Unites States and India involving elderly care and children's education. She served as the treasurer for four years in the Boy Scouts of America. She was involved in various local public school activities such as English for Speakers of Other Languages class and educational tours. She was an organizing committee member and the public school facilities liaison officer of the local chapter of Tamil Sangam (association of Tamil speaking people from India.) She also served in the hospitality committee of the same association for the North American continent level including the USA and Canada. She happily hosts various artists like musicians and dancers from various parts of the world when they visit United States.

Program Description:
India-60 is an Eegan sponsored humanitarian project to support the needy senior citizens of India who are above 60 years old and are below the poverty line. These senior citizens are not capable of earning a livelihood for themselves. Without any immediate family members to take care of them, they are left alone with no sustainable ways for food and health care. <br />
Program Long-Term Success:
The program is currently 12 destitute elders.<br />
Program Short-Term Success:
The supported elders are leading their lives with self respect.<br />

Constant visit by Project coordinators<br />

All the elders that are supported by this program are destitute. The organization acts as a supporting family member to these elders.<br />

Program Description:
<strong>eegan Scholar – India</strong> is an Eegan project that aims to educate the promising poor children in India helping them to transmute their dreams into reality. This project is designed to provide financial support to these children who can not afford education due to poverty.<br />
Program Long-Term Success:
The program is currently supporting the higher education of 9 students who come from poor families.<br />
Program Short-Term Success:
The students who could not afford college education due to the family condition (being poor) could not get educated.<br />

Grade sheets and Mark Sheets received from the educational institution every semester.<br />

The average income of the families that this program supports is $65 per month.<br />

Of the 10 students, 5 are pursuing Engineering Degrees, 2 are pursuing Engineering Diplomas, 1 is pursuing Degree in Commerce and 1 is pursuing Degree in Information Technology.<br />

eegan Scholar – USA is an Eegan educational project that has its heart in “No brilliant child should be left behind”. This project is designed to educate the needy children of the USA who can not afford education due to poverty.
