Mission Statement
<div>Endowing the women of with practical skills facilitates economic equality and women's empowerment and in turn to significantly reduce poverty and hunger; improve maternal health; reduce child mortality; combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases; and ensure environmental sustainability. </div>

<div>Within the USA, "1000 Women" works to support and assist at-risk women, especially survivors/victims of abuse and domestic violence.<br /></div>
<div>To achieve this purpose, the Maryland nonprofit corporation implements its programs and raises funds by building relationships with influential women, and working with other women's organizations and NGOs, with fund-raising events and via the Internet, as well as seeking funding from grants and other sources. "1000 Women" is working with organizations that assist women who are victims/survivors of domestic violence and abuse. This program provides the organization with the access link to a limited access website page where the women can download digital audio and written informational files. The information includes, inspirational guidance, such as the ABCs of Life, Attitude, Belief and Commitment, and pratical "how to"s, such as Dance of an Abusive Relationship.

<div>Women Rebuilding Africa Program (WRAP) In South Africa Taking AIM at the poverty of African Women. Women can rebuild Africa by waging war against the "poverty mentality" of its women using digital audio technology. </div>
<div>Working with our global partner the Leading Women of Africa, "1000 Women" is implementing this pilot program in South Africa. </div>

<div>The ultimate goal of this pilot program is provide practical, life-enhancing quality information and skills to women throughout South Africa... </div>

<li>To inspire them by building their feelings of self-worth and erasing their 'poverty mentality'
<li>To enlighten them by introducing the true value of technology into their lives
<li>To empower them by teaching them healthier ways of living, financial literacy, how to market their crafts, grow more productive crops and so much more. </li>

<div>This life-enriching program uses digital technology from the global level down to the grassroots level, including teleconferences, VoIP, social networking (forums and more), blogs (comments) and last, but certainly not least, audio information modules (AIM - prerecorded digital audio files). </div>
