Program Description:
<p >In
school assembly style lecture demonstrations for K-12 consist of approximately
5 ACFCLA professional dance company members, 2 musicians, and a visual artist.
We especially want to focus on schools that have been most affected by
arts program cutbacks.</p>
<p > </p>
<p >Lecture
demonstrations will be 20-45min school assembly style performances followed by
a 10-15min. Q&A where students can ask the performers questions which
range from how a production is created, inspiration or about a specific piece
or cause. We follow up the performance with a teacher discussion page
provided by ACFCLA and come back to do a dance Master Class for the students
taught by one of the professional company members. All performances are
uniquely tailored to the individual needs of the school and grade levels of the
students. We also try to incorporate and address specific social issues
in the school and curriculum. </p>

<p >These
demonstrations are highly effective, and educational for students on many
levels from community involvement, addressing social issues like bullying,
embracing differences, pride in yourself and the earth, importance of Arts and
Science and storytelling through an artistic forms. ACFCLA assemblies are
stimulating and inspirational for everyone involved. </p>
Program Long-Term Success:
Performances will spark something within the student that they will take away from the program and help guide them in their future. It can unleashes a passion for arts and discovery of how they can tell a story through an artistic form. Or it inspire them to get involved in their community or a specific cause. <div>We received remarkable feedback from K-6 students at Children's Community School in Van Nuys who were so inspired they encouraged their teachers and wanted to incorporate more dance into their studies as a tool to demonstrate and retain their life studies and humanities material. </div>

<p>"Gaia"Gaia" Gaia or Gaea, known as
Earth or Mother Earth (the Greek common noun for "land" is <em>ge</em> or <em>ga</em>) – Original
Contemporary Rock Ballet performed by ACFCLA – Artist Community For Change LA
dance company, Stiltworld, featured guest artists, over 30 children.</p>
<div>Through a ceremonial meeting of the Element (Fire,
Water and Sky) performed by Stiltworld, “Gaia” Mother Nature and Earth is born. The story takes us through relationships and from early civilization,
living and working with the land to the industrial revolution and then a fast
forward jump to present time. Unraveling the destruction of the family unit, humanity and our
connection and balance to the Earth. Inevitably it is the children that light
the way for our future as we discover how to live in balance and harmony with
our family, our community and the earth. GAIA opened as a preview fundraiser in LA Feb. 18th 2012 and is currently working on funding to perform this production locally, nationally and internationally. This production got great reviews and audiences agreed that people need to see this production for themselves. It is sure to entertain, educate and inspire a wide variety of audiences that may not otherwise see a ballet or modern Dance performance. Through this exciting fusion of jazz, contemporary, hip hop, breakdancing and cirque style performances. </div>

Program Description:
Produce innovative viral youtube PSA Videos incorporating Dance, Music, and visual artists on global, environmental, humanitarian and social causes that reach and inspire people all over the world. Currently in pre-production for our first piece based off of world renowned choreographer Kobi Rozenfeld dance piece entitled "Without A Home". Future project concepts include innovation, the importance of Arts & Science, clean energy, education reform, cell phone social courtesies, the importance of keeping arts in schools as a valuable tool for retaining learning and more.
Program Long-Term Success:
Videos will resonate and make people think, open conversations, re-think the way they feel about a specific issue. It may encourage them to apply better ways of living to their daily lives or reach out to their community to help others.
Program Short-Term Success:
Videos will entertain, educate and inspire people all over the world on a specific cause or social issue. They will feel an immediate impact and want to share on social networking sites with friends.
