<div>ACFCLA primary goal is to entertain, educate and inspire the Los Angeles and greater California community. &nbsp;In addition through our online video presentations we can reach and inspire people all over the world. &nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>In the last year we have performed 3 in school lecture demonstrations which included Q&amp;A and follow up dance master classes. &nbsp;Our dance company has performed for dozens of charity benefits to help raise money for their cause. &nbsp;Our visual artists donated over 40 pieces of visual art to the Sherman Oaks Public library to renovate the Children's Section as well as volunteering for community mural projects and providing graphic design to charities. &nbsp;ACFCLA Dance Co. and musicians have produced several entertaining and inspiring full length 2hr. variety productions that incorporate mixed media including "What Counts," "It Takes A Village," LA Eco Arts Festival, "Awakening" and &nbsp;"Say Something." Our goals for this coming year is to produce a full length Contemporary Rock Ballet entitled GAIA - (Mother Earth) that is currently in pre-production and scheduled to open in Los Angeles &nbsp;Feb. 2012 with an extended CA tour April 2012 around Earth Day. &nbsp;We intend on performing a smaller version in 6 different k-12 schools followed by a Q&amp;A and dance master class taught by ACFCLA professionals. Additional goals include producing innovative viral PSA videos incorporating Dance Co, Musicians, Visual Artists on specific global, environmental, humanitarian and social causes. Our first piece scheduled for July 2011 is based on a dance piece by world renowned &nbsp;choreographer Kobi Rozenfeld entitled "Without A Home". &nbsp;Other concepts include a mixed media piece with dance, music and graphic design that explores the idea of innovation and the importance of Arts &amp; Sciences. &nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div>

<p>Anacia was technically trained all her life in many dance disciplines including Jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and high level competition gymnast. &nbsp;Professional dance career began age 18yrs. with credits including United Artists film Tank Girl choreographed by Adam Shankman, an acro- dancer for Follies Bergere at Tropicana in Las Vegas. Industrials including performances with keynote speaker George Bush Sr. and General Schwarzkopf. &nbsp;Anacia has been teaching dance for over 15yrs. and worked with several professional dance companies as a dancer and administrator taking on key Artistic Director positions, responsible for hiring top industry professionals as instructors and choreographers. &nbsp;Overseeing all aspects of producing quarterly events with Visual Artists, Dance and musicians. &nbsp;She is the owner and Artistic Director of Degas Dance Studio in Encino, CA has hired world renowned faculty. Anacia was featured in the premiere issue of Dance Track Magazine and continues to be a leader in her field.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Program Description:

<p >In school assembly style lecture demonstrations for K-12 consist of approximately 5 ACFCLA professional dance company members, 2 musicians, and a visual artist. &nbsp;We especially want to focus on schools that have been most affected by arts program cutbacks.</p> <p >&nbsp;</p> <p >Lecture demonstrations will be 20-45min school assembly style performances followed by a &nbsp;10-15min. Q&amp;A where students can ask the performers questions which range from how a production is created, inspiration or about a specific piece or cause. &nbsp;We follow up the performance with a teacher discussion page provided by ACFCLA and come back to do a dance Master Class for the students taught by one of the professional company members. &nbsp;All performances are uniquely tailored to the individual needs of the school and grade levels of the students. &nbsp;We also try to incorporate and address specific social issues in the school and curriculum.&nbsp;</p> <p >&nbsp;</p> <p >These demonstrations are highly effective, and educational for students on many levels from community involvement, addressing social issues like bullying, embracing differences, pride in yourself and the earth, importance of Arts and Science and storytelling through an artistic forms. ACFCLA assemblies are stimulating and inspirational for everyone involved. &nbsp;</p>

Performances will spark something within the student that they will take away from the program and help guide them in their future. &nbsp;It can unleashes a passion for arts and discovery of how they can tell a story through an artistic form. &nbsp;Or it inspire them to get involved in their community or a specific cause. &nbsp;Make them see a social issue from another angle, or helps them to embrace differences. <p> </p> <p>"Gaia"Gaia"&nbsp;Gaia or Gaea, known as Earth or Mother Earth (the Greek common noun for "land" is&nbsp;<em>ge</em>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<em>ga</em>) &#8211; Original Contemporary Rock Ballet performed by ACFCLA &#8211; Artist Community For Change LA dance company, Stiltworld, featured guest artists, over 30 children.</p> <div>Through a ceremonial meeting of the Element &nbsp;(Fire, Water and Sky) performed by Stiltworld, &#8220;Gaia&#8221; Mother Nature and Earth is born.&nbsp;The story takes us through relationships and from early civilization, living and working with the land to the industrial revolution and then a fast forward jump to present time.&nbsp;Unraveling the destruction of the family unit, humanity and our connection and balance to the Earth. Inevitably it is the children that light the way for our future as we discover how to live in balance and harmony with our family, our community and the earth.&nbsp;GAIA opened as a preview fundraiser in LA Feb. 18th &nbsp;2012 and is currently working on funding to perform this production locally, nationally and internationally. This production got great reviews and audiences agreed that people need to see this production for themselves. It is sure to entertain, educate and inspire a wide variety of audiences that may not otherwise see a ballet or modern Dance performance. Through this exciting fusion of jazz, contemporary, hip hop, breakdancing and cirque style performances.&nbsp;</div> <div></div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
