Program Description:
<p>Flying Manes provides therapeutic riding lessons and equine assisted activities and therapies to individuals faced with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges in the New York metropolitan area. </p>
<p>Equine assisted activities and therapies are centered on the interaction between horse and human and use the tolerance and power of the horse to motivate participants to develop their full potential. Our program offers therapeutic riding lessons and other equine assisted activities in accordance with the guidelines and practices established by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NAHRA). Led by a NARHA-certified instructor and supported by dedicated volunteers, our program activities are aimed at teaching participants horsemanship skills and encouraging them to accomplish their physical, emotional, and social goals.</p>
