Program Description:
<div>The APA Pet Food Bank administers pet food and other supplies to low- and no-income pet guardians to help people keep their pets in times of economic stress or need. We service about 30 families per week and distribute 6,000-8,000 pounds of pet food per month.</div>
Program Long-Term Success:
<div>The program must grow each year to serve more people and animals in need; it will someday become just one of the many progams we offer at our animal welfare facility.</div>

<div>The program started in 2009, and it has steadily grown in the pounds we distribute and the number of families we help.</div>

<div>At this time, we distribute more than 10,000 pounds a month to about 50 families per week; since 2009, we have distributed more than 241,000 pounds of pet food to more than 800 families in our county.</div>

<ol><li>We provide no- and low-cost support to our pet food bank clients for vaccinations and spay/neuter; we provide no- and low-cost vaccination/wellness/microchipping clinics to the homeless population and the general population; we also provide direct vet care support to our pet food bank clients and other no-/low-income people, when funds allow.</li></ol>
