Program Description:

We know that much excellent work is being done by many dedicated volunteers but very little quantitative data exist on the numbers of animals served in various capacities or the numbers of volunteers who are helping them. We hope to gather information that will allow us to at least provide reasonable estimates of the various needs, services, and gaps in services that exist. This information will provide general baseline measures to enhance public understanding of the issues in our communities, and which can be used to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of various programs (recognizing that the data and data collection processes themselves will improve over time).
