Jodi Jacobson has provided an opportunity for the actual stories behind the headlines to be told about reproductive and sexual health access. Great Resource
RHReality Check has very quickly become a go to resource in our field and Jodi should be commended for her work that has made that happen. It would be great to see a place dedicated to linking with other progressive movements on the site. They also have done an excellent job working with other coalitions/groups to provide spaces to network. Maneuvering around the site is complicated--it would be great to try and simplify some of the features. Nonprofit Senior Staff

Talented Journalism
RHRC has become a leading source of news and analysis for our issues. It is an information source for people working in the field as well as policymakers and other journalists. Proof of impact: when the New York Times said that RHRC broke the story about Scott Roeder's threatening Julie Burkhardt of Trust Women from behind bars. Nonprofit Senior Staff

Diverse Contributors & Topics
I really like that RHRC publishes content from professional journalists (including RHRC staffs) and from people working in the field. I really appreciate that RHRC welcomes content from my own organizations and others in the field--we always know we can get our message out. I don't think that the liberal publication policy affects the quality--in fact it makes RHRC stronger. I appreciate the plurality of voices represented on the site. Nonprofit Senior Staff
One asset is the wide breadth of topics covered and the range of voices that are shared through this network are terrific. The fact that advocacy is part of the mission is also important, including the efforts to get people who receive their newsletters to act on timely issues. Researcher and Faculty

Areas for Improvement

Some experts agree that while the RHRC is growing it needs keep developing its organizational infrastructure to keep up with the tasks. Also, it would help to diversify Board of Directors. They need to be more focused on streamlining communication with members and assuring a stable quality of the website’s formatting.

Improve Quality Control
I always tell my staff members to triple check for errors before submitting something to RHRC since I don't think it is proofread before publication! Ensuring that all articles are typo free with consistent formatting would give the website more polish, but this is a small comment since the quality is so good. Nonprofit Senior Staff
Refine Communications Strategy
It would be good to try to avoid repetition in the emails sent to people who receive the newsletters if they have signed up for multiple newsletters. Researcher and Faculty
Recent Growth
The organization is growing and will have to figure out how best to integrate new folks and responsibilities. Nonprofit Senior Staff
The organization has recently grown quite quickly and has a new structure. These could be things to watch. Foundation Professional
RHRC needs to keep developing its infrastructure, especially as it grows; they will need to ensure quality control. They need to build a stronger, more diverse Board of Directors. Foundation Professional
