Mission Statement
The Coalition for a Drug-Free Greater Cincinnati promotes drug-free environments for youth by enhancing patnerships to educate, advocate and support locally-based, community mobilization. Our vision is that every child in our community grows up in an environment that is purposefully drug-free.

The Coalition's overarching <strong>goal is to prevent & reduce substance use among youth</strong>. Our <strong>key objectives</strong> are: <strong>1). </strong>to ensure data-driven decision-making for prevention action. <strong>2). </strong>to strengthen & support local, neighborhood anti-drug efforts. <strong>3). </strong>to establish & strengthen collaboration across community sectors to implement evidence-based prevention.

"Holly is a strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to build and cultivate cross-functional relationships, a key component of leading an organization such as ours," said Krista Boyle, Coalition Board Executive Committee Officer. "She also has excellent communication, organizational, financial management and administrative skills, and an understanding of the workings of the state and federal governments."
In addition to defining the strategic plan benchmarks, Holly serves as the primary liaison with The Coalition's Board of Trustees, including seven Task Forces and four Committees, oversees all planning and programmatic activities toward achieving The Coalition's mission, and represents The Coalition to the public and community partners.
Leadership Statement:
<p>The Coalition is unique in its approach to preventing youth substance abuse in that we address the underlying, root causes to create systems level change. The Coalition is the only regional anti-drug coalition in our area. </p><div>Measuring the impact of our work & that of our partners is essential. The Coalition conducts the biannual Pride Student Drug Use Survey for the collection of primary youth substance abuse data.We have also established the Greater Cincinnati Evaluation Center to track, monitor, & report on coalition activity & the contribution to community-level change.Strategies include comprehensive assessments to understand the problem and related social consequences; evaluation of short-term and long-term outcomes; and research on special topics.</div><div>While our prevention actions are implemented on a regional, macro level, we work to establish new and support developing programs, partnerships, and local coalitions to address their unique community conditions. Strategies include providing training, technical assistance, and seed funding to assist and empower community residents, partners, and key leaders to address their issues.</div><div>The Coalition has identified underage drinking, marijuana use and prescription/over-the-counter drug misuse as the primary substance abuse problems among our youth. Strategies are designed to change social acceptability, access/availability, media messaging, and policy/enforcement to create a more supportive & thriving environment for youth to grow up in. </div><p> </p>

Program Description:
Establishing new and supporting existing local, neighborhood anti-drug efforts across the region, is a primary strategy for the Coalition. Currently, the organization partners with neighborhoods and provides training, technical assistance and seed funding to more than 25 local coalition and community organizations to create drug-free environments for youth.

Program Description:
The Coalition has identified three primary drug use problems by our youth: underage drinking, marijuana use and emerging prescription/over-the-counter misuse. Activities designed to address the conditions in our community that contribute to th problem with the aim of bringing about community level change in these areas include: the Community Festival project, Social Hosting Project, the Screening and Brief Intervention project an Campus-Community Coalition project.

Program Description:
The Coalition has established the Greater Cincinnati Evaluation Center to track, monitor and report on coalition activity and the contribution to community-level change. As a regional center, the system and evaluation services are available for local member coalitions as well. Conducted every two year, the PRIDE Student Drug Use Survey, sponsored by the Coalition is the largest of its kind in the country and is recognized nationally as the most current and reliable source of validated information on local youth substance abuse. The survey collects data from approximately 60,000seventh through twelfth graders from more than 100 schools across the Greater Cincinnati region.
