Mission Statement
To offer innovative artistic and educational cultural experiences for diverse audiences within an intimate, inviting environment. To revitalize the Central Business District of the Village of South Orange and the surrounding areas by creating a dynamic cultural center that will promote community involvement in the arts and create an economic base for development. We accomplish our mission by presenting diverse and dynamic theater, dance music, film and visual arts programs as well as arts education through our partnerships and programs for people with disabilities.

She was a Principal of The Lux Group, a strategic marketing communications firm whose clients included Armagnac, Jazz @ Lincoln Center, and Esquire Magazine. As Executive Producer and Co-Creative Director of Isocurve, a strategic consulting firm, her clients included Rosie O’Donnell, Federated Department Stores, Ellen Tracey and Departures Magazine. At Festival Marketing, Landa Abramson managed the branding initiatives for the American Express Platinum Card and Centurion Card By Invitation Only programs, which included producing a dozen international entertainment marketing programs annually. She has held production management roles in both the San Francisco Jazz Festival and the Russian River Jazz and Blues Festival.

Program Description:
Presenting theatre, music (from jazz to classical to world music), and dance performances. We present over 45 performances a year and have a patron base of 7,500. Educational programs to bring the arts to local students, including underserved school districts in Essex and Union counties.
Program Long-Term Success:
Completing our second year of artistic programming, having brought a diverse and well-known set of artists to the greater Essex Area. And having ten sold-out or nearly sold out shows and dramatically expanding the number of people having seen a performance at SOPAC from our first season.
