Impact Summary from the Nonprofit
Dreams for Kids empowers the most isolated kids in every community by providing them opportunity over charity. In an award winning, social entrepreneurship based, after school program which provides double social impact, youth learn business and life skills while building social enterprises which impact individuals and communities.
In 2012 the Chicago International Charter Schools accepted our curriculum to teach all of its 8th graders and engage its student to assist them in enterprise building.

Leadership Statement:
I founded Dreams for Kids in 1989 as an opportunity to make difference. I was one of these kids. The son a single parent with four children, whose father disappeared when he was 8 years old, I could relate to what is missing in many children lives. I also realize we have all been there. We all have lost someone. It is from that moment when we felt most alone and completely isolated that we can relate to a child who feels that way every moment of their lives. And we can do something.
Dreams for Kids is a movement. It is a testament to every person who has discovered they have something to give. It is a movement which recognizes that we are all related. This movement changes the lives of all who are involved, the kids as well as those who reach out to them.
The mission of this organization and this movement is to empower an entire generation by giving them a chance to grow up together. Beyond the walls and divisions of segregation and infused with the spirit of service, compassion, and understanding, the voices of the most isolated kids in the world will be heard, they will be united to their peers, and, together, they will create a sustainable world of peace.
