BRINGING WOMEN A GLOBAL VOICE
Pulse is an action media network powered by women from 190 countries. We are using digital media to connect women worldwide and
bring them a global voice.
Our mission is to lift and unite women’s voices
to accelerate their impact for the world.
Today women from nearly every country in the
world log on to WorldPulse.com to speak out and connect, many using Internet
cafés and cell phones from rural villages to urban streets. Our programs focus
on supporting grassroots women leaders in three key areas: cross-border community-building, media and empowerment training, and promoting voices
to influential forums.
We believe that when women are heard and
connected they will transform the world.
a revolution that has already begun.
By channeling stories to
major outlets like CNN, the United Nations, TED, and The Huffington Post, the
voices of World Pulse are reaching millions. But, most importantly, women’s
lives are changing in significant and transformational ways. Through social
networking on WorldPulse.com, grassroots women leaders are finding job

a young journalist in Burma and the Amazon, Jensine discovered that
some of the world's most important voices never reach the world stage. But through her determination and persistence to elevate women's untapped potential, she became a new voice in global media. Touring around the
world, she appeared on NPR and at TED, presented keynotes at major
corporations, universities and world forums, and wrote articles in
international publications. A visionary and pioneer, Jensine became the
first voice of World Pulse; the first of many.
Today, with her eye
on the future of communications technology in the developing world, Larsen has
built an interactive global media company designed to connect women
worldwide. In addition to launching a magazine she has pioneered the development of PulseWire, an interactive
global women’s newswire where women worldwide - including those using internet
cafes and cell phones in remote villages - can speak for themselves to the
world and solve global problems.

World Pulse is building the communications infrastructure to fuel a vocal uprising similar to the Arab Spring - but global and powered by women leading change on the ground in every region of the world.
I am proud to invite our global community to continue to innovate with us into 2013. Together with our supporters, we are developing a digital media enterprise that is truly collaborative and responsive to women’s voices on the ground.
Let’s seize this moment in history when communications technology makes it possible for more women than ever before to tell their stories and solutions to a global audience. Together we will succeed in enabling women’s voices to come out of the shadows to drive their own development and destinies.
