Why does this matter? Without clarity around their responsibilities and expectations, board members are not positioned to succeed. They may find themselves challenged to fulfill their governance responsibilities or frustrated by the expectations that the organization has set for them. BoardSource recommends that every new board member participate in a formal orientation process, and that all board members sign a pledge or agreement committing to their board service and to all of the responsibilities and expectations that come with service. Ideally, board members also should participate in a formal governance training program prior to serving on a board.

Program Description:

Seeking accreditation from the International Baccalaureate Organization and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, our programme will be challenging, energizing, and fully vetted by experienced external evaluators. We will follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB). Fundamental to our programme will be the integration of state-of-the-art technologies into our challenging curriculum. Our academic schedule is very innovative, allowing students opportunities to engage in the life of our host community. A central aspect of our curriculum is cross-discipline challenge projects, engaging students in the discovery of essential concepts and ideas. Our students will graduate with the skills required for thriving in  the 21st century, and beyond.

THINK Global School is an independent high school that travels the world, giving students the opportunity to study in 12 different international cities over the course of 4 years. The school is non-profit, co-educational, and non-denominational. THINK Global School was granted full authorization as an IB World School by the International Baccalaureate Organization(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Baccalaureate_Organization)  in April, 2012 and received the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) initial three year accreditation in August of 2012. THINK Global School will graduate its first class of IB Programme students at the conclusion of the 2013-2014 school year. The Mission Provide a rigorous high school experience for multinational students in a multicultural learning environment, with a specific focus on local immersion.
