Impact Summary from the Nonprofit
<div>As the pioneering and widley recognized non-profit in the United States dedicated to advancing not only the Cape Wind project, but offshore wind energy as a whole, we are uniquely positioned and qualified to engage withe all stakeholders as proven by having the first fully permitted utility scale offshore wind farm right in our own back yard. This is an enourmous accomplishment that illustrates how direct citizen involvement on the ground is the only way to offset the influence of powerful entrenched interests and federal inertia. This is as much a victory for citizen participation as it is for clean energy.</div>

Leadership
Ms. Barbara Jean Hill
Profile:
<div>Over the course of the past 30 years Ms. Hill has held a variety of management positions focused on renewable energy, land preservation and affordable housing. From 2001-2005 she served as Project Coordinator for Offshore Wind with the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. She is a founding initiator of the CLEAN campaign, a collaborative of grassroots led organizations working for a new national energy policy advocating CLEAN's Call to Action. Barbara is a Senior Fellow with the Breakthrough Institute and serves on the U.S. Offshore Wind Collaborative Board of Directors. </div>
Leadership Statement:
<div>Since 2003, Clean Power Now has met every obstacle our opponents have erected by fighting misinformation with facts, intervening in adjudicatory proceedings and subsequest appeals, testifying at public hearings, submitting comments, educating, informing, and empowering citizens to speak out for clean energy for our environment, and for our planet. Our goal is to create connective tissue (as we did in Massachusetts over the past seven years) between grassroots organizations, industry and the regulators in communities along the Atlantic Seaboard that will host the next proposed offshore wind energy projects. Clean Power Now brings the technical expertise, contacts with key constituencies, and organizing experience necessary to empower local community groups as well as the public at large. </div>
