Program Description:
BoardSource designs and creates practical assessment tools and resources that help boards understand and identify critical challenges and fulfill their responsibilities. Current tools include:
Board Self-Assessment: BoardSource’s Board Self-Assessment allows boards to candidly reflect on how well the board is meeting its governance responsibilities and discover critical areas for improvement. Four customized versions of the assessment are available, focusing on the unique governance needs of association boards, foundation boards, family foundation boards, and community foundation boards.
CEO Assessment: BoardSource’s Assessment of the Chief Executive allows boards to confidentially survey board members and receive an objective summary of their input on chief executive performance.
Source Diagnostic: An advanced assessment tool, based on the 12 principles of governance that power exceptional boards, as introduced in BoardSource’s seminal book, “The Source.”

Program Description:
The BoardSource Leadership Forum is the only conference wholly focused on the governing challenges facing our country’s nonprofit organizations. Attendees include nonprofit board members, chief executives, foundation and corporate leaders, consultants, researchers and academics, and others interested in and committed to effective nonprofit leadership, accountability, and good governance.
