Impact Summary from the Nonprofit
Starlight MidAtlantic has provided more than 15 million hours of entertainment to 275,000 hospitalized children and their families in the hospital, in the community and on the Web. When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, the day-to-day joys of being a kid take a back seat to the rigors of treatment and hospitalization. Starlight's programs aim to bring the healing power of play to help them be happier, healthier, and home again sooner.
