Program Description:
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TUITION, BOOKS AND SUPPLIES FOR YOUNG WOMEN IN THE PROGRAM.
Program Long-Term Success:
In 2010, WOT interviewed 320 mentees who graduated between 2003-2009. Findings include that 99% have either attended higher education (91%) or plan to attend higher education in the near future (8%) along with anecdotal evidence of increased self esteem, confidence, improved interpersonal relationships through communication and conflict resolution; maintaining a healthy lifestyle and avoiding risk behaviors including avoiding drugs, alcohol and smoking as well practicing abstinence, healthy eating habits and regular health care; increased knowledge of personal finances. 97% indicated WOT had a significant positive impact on their life.
Program Short-Term Success:
WOT has been awarding scholarships since 2000, averaging $395,999 in annual awards over the past five years. Approximately 78% of applicants receive some type of award, which range from $250 to $5,000 cash to full-tuition and include scholarships given through universities, colleges, and various programs.

In 2010 WOT surveyed (phone call interviews with WOT graduates) 320 completers between 2003-2009. Findings include that 99% of WOT graduates have either attended higher education (91%) or plan to attend higher education in the near future (8%) along with anecdotal evidence of increased self esteem, confidence, improved interpersonal relationships through communication and conflict resolution; maintaining a healthy lifestyle and avoiding risk behaviors including avoiding drugs, alcohol and smoking as well practicing abstinence, healthy eating habits and regular health care; increased knowledge of personal finances. 97% indicated WOT had a significant positive impact on their life. Of those who recently graduated from college (17% - the others are still in school) 76% are currently employed (48% in professional level jobs with 26% in entry level or administrative jobs), 15% are transitioning to further education, 7% are recent graduates seeking employment and 2% are unemployed and not seeking employment.

Program Description:
IMPLEMENTING MENTORING PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG WOMEN IN THE PROGRAM. WOMEN OF TOMORROW CURRENTLY OPERATES IN 98 PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS IN SOUTH FLORIDA SERVING OVER 2,000 AT-RISK YOUNG WOMEN WITH ITS 250 HIGHLY ACCOMPLISHED PROFESSIONAL WOMEN.
Program Long-Term Success:
Of 2009 WOT graduates, 92% graduated with a high school diploma (compared to 70% county-wide) and 1.00% dropped out (compared to 3.44% county-wide). WOT has averaged 19.7 points above the county-wide graduation rate and 3 points below the county-wide dropout rate over the last five years.
Program Short-Term Success:
Analysis of changes from year to year in WOT mentees’ GPAs have shown statistically significant increases; in 2006 graduates the average GPA increased from 2.4 in 9<sup>th</sup> grade to 3.1 in 12<sup>th</sup> grade.
