Mission Statement
<div>To <em>support the programs and crewmembers of the California<br />Conservation Corps through philanthropy.</em><div><p>In pursuing our mission, we are guided by the following goals: <ul type="disc"><li>To lessen the burdens of government we seek to obtain grants, contributions and gifts for the benefit of the California Conservation Corps and its Corpsmembers.</li><li>To provide awards and scholarships to enhance career, educational and leadership development of corpsmembers and alumni.</li><li>To fund special projects that provide a natural resource or other public benefit in all regions of California – urban, suburban and rural – including emergency response (flood, fires and earthquakes), energy conservation and retrofitting, irrigation system installment, landscape management, boardwalk construction, trail building, tree planting and wildlife habitat restoration. </li></ul></div></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><p> </p><p> </p><br /><br />

Kerri Warner’s background brings together a unique blend of skills. Her career reflects accomplishments in organizational leadership, operations, general business management, Board of Director relationships and collaboration. She is an expert in short and long-term business planning, multi-stakeholder relationships, interactions and team building. Her creative endeavors have given her experience as a visual artist, scenic and property artisan, and event planner. Ms. Warner’s professional career began as a graphic artist for one of Sacramento’s leading advertising agencies. She then opened her own marketing and public relations firm in Pleasanton, California, specializing in image packaging and event management. She became the General Manager of the Sacramento Ballet in the early 1990’s, then worked for the Secretary of the State of California planning statewide events in 1999. In 2002 she became the Executive Director for the Camellia Symphony Orchestra, and returned to the Sacramento Ballet in 2003 where she served as Executive Director through January 2009. In 2010 Ms. Warner served as the Director of a regional community action center focused on connecting individuals, businesses and groups with high impact community service opportunities. Her leadership skills have been supplemented by participation in leadership program s such as CEO Link, The James Irvine Foundation Peer Exchange, Leadership Sacramento, Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Americans for the Arts and DanceUSA. Ms. Warner has been a speaker and consultant in the areas of organizational leadership and collaboration, marketing, fundraising, and non-profit governance. She has also served as a trustee on nonprofit boards including; Deterding Charter School, Deterding Arts Resources Team and the Studios for the performing Arts. She holds a degree in Radio, Television and Film with a minor in Journalism.
