Program Description:
JA's elementary school programs are the foundation of its K-12 curricula. The programs include six sequential themes for kindergarten through fifth-grade students and one capstone experience. Students learn the basic concepts of business and economics and how education is relevant to the workplace. The sequential activities build on studies from each preceding grade and prepare students for secondary school and lifelong learning. All JA programs are designed to support the skills and competencies identified by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. These programs alo augment school-based, work-based, and connecting activitie for communities with school-to-work initiatives.

Ninety-five percent of participating elementary teachers state that JA programs connect what is learned in the classroom to the real world. 84% indicate that JA curriculum introduces students to new careers, while 85% indicate that students have improved decision making skills. Critical thinking skills was another sited improvement, as 86% of teachers feel that JA programs helped students in this area.

Ninety-six percent of JA programs have been independently evaluated over the past four years. Over 60 evaluation studies in the past five years support JA's effectiveness. External studies have been conducted by organizations such as Western Institute for Research and Evaluation and The Bridgespan Group.

Program Description:
JA's middle grades programs for students in grades 6-8 include economics and business curricula and a capstone experience. These programs build on concepts the students learned in Junior Achievement's elementary school program and help teens make difficult decisions about how to best prepare for their educational and professional future. The programs supplement standard social studies curricula and develop communication skills that are essential to success in the business world. All JA programs are designed to support the skills and competencies identified by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. These programs also augment school-based, work-based, and connecting activities for communities with school-to-work initiatives.

The majority of middle school students (71% ) indicate JA helped them realize the importance of an education and motivated them to work harder to achieve educational and work goals. Studies show middle school students understand more about personal finance, business and economic concepts after particpating in JA programs.

Program Description:
With a range of different programs, Junior Achievement teaches concepts relating to entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness. JA's high school programs for students in grades 9-12 include economic and business curricula, an after-school student-led enterprise, and a one-day workplace capstone experience. Junior Achievement's high school programs help students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future, and foster skills that will be highly useful in the business world.

Nearly 80% of particpating high school students indicate that JA positivly influenced their attitudes towards continuing their education. Most students reported that JA made the transition to college easier, encouraged them to work hard and provided information that was relevant.
