The purpose of Colorado Christian University is: To enable students to pursue a Christ-centered undergraduate and graduate education in an institution of higher education that integrates biblical concepts with the arts, sciences and professional fields. To encourage students to integrate their Christian faith and higher learning by developing thoughtful Christian perspectives. To challenge students to engage in opportunities for spiritual growth, character development, social interaction, and community participation. <div>Before becoming President of Colorado Christian University in 2006, Mr. Bill Armstrong had a successful business and political career. During his 18 years of service in the nation's capital - six in the House of Representatives, twelve in the Senate, Armstrong established a reputation as a principled and action-oriented legislator. A successful businessman, he started or purchased four mortage banking firms and was formerly chairman of Cherry Creek Mortgage Company, which grew 4,000 percent under his guidance. Armstrong has been a director of six public companies and chairman/owner/operator of 13 private companies.<br /></div> <div>Upon his decision to lead CCU, Armstrong reflected, "I feel a great sense of destiny about the opportunity to help educate a new generation of leaders. It is the most significant, energizing, and rewarding work I have ever undertaken." </div>
