Impact Summary from the Nonprofit

Formed in 2001, Cancer Services of New Mexico (CSNM) is an independent, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that provides services to reduce cancer suffering for NM’s families. We are the only statewide non-profit organization that looks broadly at addressing gaps in cancer-related services, while maintaining a 100% focus on NM. All services are provided at no cost. CSNM has a strong track record of developing and implementing programs to reduce cancer suffering for NM’s families. We directly serve over 1,200 New Mexicans coping with cancer each year. We work closely with other groups in our state to identify gaps and avoid duplication of effort.

We are committed to maintaining extraordinarily low overhead costs. We have no paid staff and no physical office. Instead, we operate with a cadre of skilled volunteers, supported as needed by contractors. We partner with others when programs require a physical space and/or capabilities outside our areas of expertise. Administrative costs are less than 5% of revenues.
