Mission Statement

Sarcoid Networking Association, founded in 1992 developed due to lack of information available for people with Sarcoidosis. All-volunteer staff provides data and newsletter to those who requested regardless of ability to financially assist the organization. Education is primary goal. Information on Sarcoidosis and related health issues includes emotional support, referrals to support groups and physicians with expertise Informational patient handouts are supplied to the medical community. We participation in health fairs, provide speakers and sponsor an annual conference each fall. Mission is to educate and assist in finding a cure and positive treatment of Sarcoidosis.

Lynn F Short, Executive Director, is a retired Admin Assistant with a personal interest in the education of patients and the general public about Sarcoidosis. As a  member of this self-help support organization, she has directed its function since 2007 and has seen it grow into an internation network with the newsletter connecting and informing others about Sarcoidosis. As facilitator of her Pierce County support group, she understands the many difficulties and health concerns of its members and has helped several other groups across the US to form a network of support about this little understood disease, which she has herself.
