Mission Statement

Bike Works builds sustainable communities by educating youth and promoting bicycling. * Bike Works teaches youth four fundamental things: how to problem solve individually and as part of a group, how to communicate their ideas, how to explore their world by bike and how to serve others in their community. * Bike Works also operates a not-for-profit community bike shop that sells affordable recycled bicycles. Our bike shop generates revenue to run our youth programs, and helps further our mission in getting more people riding bikes. * We view each and every bicycle donated, refurbished, and recycled back into the community as one less bike in the landfill, and potentially one less car on the road. Our youth programs strive to encourage bicycling as an exciting way to explore the world while being good stewards to our natural environment.
