Impact Summary from the Nonprofit

Since it’s inception in 1995, A Miner Miracle has created three distinct programs to serve the special needs of each population it serves.

The Men’s and Women’s programs are two unique programs, unlike any other in the country. Each client meets with a professional image counselor and receives valuable education and resources for job interview preparation in addition to a complete makeover from head to toe. For women this includes a private wardrobe consultation, interview appropriate clothing, new shoes, accessories, an appointment with a professional hair stylist, and grooming and cosmetic instruction and products. Men receive an interview appropriate outfit along with new shoes and socks, accessories, a haircut and tailor services. Clients are taught the power of perception and how to impress with their image and appearance. These bonus features provide men and women with the finishing touches they need to come across as being confident, skilled, and ready to do the job.

A Miner Miracle also caters to young adults – ages 18-24 – who are transitioning from homelessness and foster care programs to independent living. Without proper guidance, the job interview process can be intimidating, particularly to young men and women striving to overcome the hardships of their past and the uncertainties of their future emancipation. A Miner Miracle educates them in employment and workplace procedures, as well as the power of perception and a good first impression. A Miner Miracle counselors provide them with brand-new, age-appropriate clothing that is suitable for the workplace, grooming consultation, and clear guidelines for on-the-job etiquette.

A Miner Miracle’s clients include the formerly homeless, former addicts, people with disabilities, veterans, immigrants, emancipated youth and young adults searching for their first jobs.
