Publish K-12 grade student writing 3x/yr; air student writers on radio monthly; print posles of student writing & send to all schoolsin county 3x/yr; web publish student writing; present community readings of young writers in bookstores & other non- school settings. All of these projects bring student work into the community as forms of publishing.

"Lively Literature Camps", "YES! YEA! Days"; Intergenerational Anls Parthes"; "Mess with Words"; "Words Plus" -- All of these programs are active explarations of spoken/written word and arts/calture/scrence. Students engage in both Caltural literacy & academic literacy projects in school, after School, school days out & in summer camps.

Writing Workshops in School and after school: (1) 2-3 grader (2) 4-5 grader (3) 6-8 grader; (4) 9-12 grader (5) Teen Scrence Fiction (6) 4-5 grade Adventure writing. All workshops engage Small groups of school-aged writers with professional (practicing/published) writers. The professional writers mentor The Fledgling writers.

(1) Glitterary Word Festival is YWA's annual Full day festival celebrating the writing art through family word-inspired activities, including intergenerational writing workshop w/ State Poet laureate. (2) Annual theone-based creative writing contest for grades K-12 which includes prizes, winners' reception and community readings.
