Program Success Examples:
United Way of Santa Cruz County focuses on the building blocks of a good life - youth success, family financial stability and health. Our mission is achieved by a four-part process: Determining community needs, prioritizing community needs, developing community resources and distributing community resources. Community stewards in three target community needs areas - youth success, financial stability and health - prioritize community needs after reviewing a community-wide needs assessment t and then determine which local organizations can best provide direct service to allocate funding. Funds are raised through a workplace campaign, grant writing and individual donations.
