Lynda J. Steele, Executive Director since 1994, has over 20 years experience working with people with developmental and other disabilities in the areas of program administration and prevention. She was named "1999 Woman of Achievement for Community Service" by the Women's Fund.

<div>I have had the privilege of leading Abilities United for the past 17 years. During that time we continued to fulfill our mission and purpose and the organization is now seen as an outstanding non profit in the area because, to quote one major donor, "We do what we say we are going to do. We walk the talk". I am proud of all of our accomplishments to benefit people with disabilities.</div>

Program Description:
Early intervention for infants birth to age 3 who are at risk of, or who have developmental disabilities consist of group classes and parent support/education. Milestones Preschool integrates children ages 2 1/2 to 5, who are typically developing with those who have or are at risk for developmental disabilities. The Therapy Clinic provides speech, physical and occupational therapies. This program maximizes the developmental skills of young children.
