Ms. Liz Hunt
Profile:
Liz Hunt has an extensive background in the health care field. Liz has a Masters in Administration and Policy, a Masters in Social Work, and a certificate in Management of Non-Profits from the University of Pittsburgh. Liz has worked in the Santa Clara Valley since 1997.Initially, Liz was the executive coordinator of the Adult and Child Guidance Center, where she coordinated administrative functions, led an integrated team of clinical, administrative and accounting staff in planning, design, configuration, implementation and training for new clinical and billing software. Liz Was promoted to the interim Co-CEO of the organization and oversaw its merger with the Family Service Mid-Peninsula. Liz became the director of operations for the new agency where she was responsible for information technology, human resources, facilities, office staff, contract compliance, and outcome evaluation for a $4 million dollar budget agency that provides mental health and prevention services for children, families, and adults. Recently, Liz has worked for the County of Santa Clara as the senior health care manager, for the CalWORKs Community Health Alliance and as the manager of the CalWORKs Social Work Unit. Through this position she managed a $3 million dollar budget collaborative program to provide behavioral health services and stabilized a complex collaborative network community and county providers. Liz helped the IHC develop special programs that were aimed at assisting American Indians who where enrolled in the CalWORKs program and helped educate the County about providing culturally appropriate care. Liz was hired as the executive director of the IHC in January 2004.
