Balance Sheet: Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2006

Note: The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot long survive, but the types of assets and liabilities also must be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.

Financial Comments from the Organization

The organization is financially self-sufficient and is currently building its Reserve Fund to ensure the long-term stability of the organization. Please Note: It is highly recommended that all fundraising for your CCS program be done directly through CCS, via check, your myCCS account, or our online payment pages. CCS will accept payments made through external fundraising sites, however, CCS cannot extend your due date when fundraising through an external fundraising site. Contributions made through these sites are often charged a processing fee prior to the funds being issued to your CCS account, and are usually issued to CCS the month following the date of the contributions. Tax receipts cannot be issued from CCS for these payments. External fundraising sites usually have there own rules and restrictions that can prevent CCS from applying any payments from them directly to your CCS program fee. If you would like any further information about this please contact the Finance Department.
