MISSION AND PROGRAMS
Mission
1. We work to raise up a generation of disciples and leaders for the Orthodox Christian Church.
2. We equip and enable young people to reach out to the poor and homeless and the needy.
3. We provide youth programs to bring young people into relationship with Jesus Christ.
4. We equip and enable young to make good significant life choices.
Programs
1. NAC SOYO Special Olympics Sports Camp $50,000 annual expenditure for Special Olympics Pennsylvania, as well as providing 25 teen coaches and staff members for one week Special Olympics Sports training Camp
2. OYO - Orthodox Youth Outreach - $70,000 annually to equip and enable youth to ministry and reach out to the poor and homeless in the major North American cities
3. SOYO Leadership Conference - cost $30,000 annually to train teen leaders on the Diocese and North American level to lead our youth efforts across North America
GOALS AND RESULTS
Accomplishments for Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2005
- Have donated over $500,000 to Special Olympics Pennsylvania over the past 26 years by providing the funding to use the camp and costs to run an annual one week Sports Camps, as well as to provide up to 25 teen coaches each year for this program
- Held the first North American Youth Leadership Conference in July 2005 for leaders in the 9 dioceses of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese
- Have successfully run at least 10 Orthodox Youth Outreach programs over the past two years to the inner cities of North America reaching out to the poor and homeless
Objectives for Fiscal Year Beginning January 1, 2006
- To develop youth leaders across North America
- To equip and enable young people to reach out to the poor and homeless across North America
- To successfully fund and run our 26th Teen SOYO/PASO Special Olympics Sports Camp for Pennsylvania July 2006
