MISSION AND PROGRAMS

Mission

The mission of the Coastal Research Group is to conduct research in the academic discipline of family medicine and primary health care delivery. To encourage improvements in community and family centered health care delivery. To record and preserve the history of the family medicine movement. To diffuse information through appropriate publications. To conduct policy analysis and to conduct appropriate conferences and workshops consistent with the organization''s purposes.

Programs

Provides national conferences on Primary Health Care Access, provides a website for dissemination of information at www.coastalresearch.org and provides a student resource at www.studentdoctor.net.

GOALS AND RESULTS

Accomplishments for Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2007

1. Held multiple conferences within the primary care community to further the research mission of this organization.
2. Continued development of student resources at www.studentdoctor.net.

Objectives for Fiscal Year Beginning January 1, 2008

1. Continuation of successful research, policy analysis and dissemination of research through national conferences and networking.
2. Further development of student resources through the Student Doctor Network web site.
