As a Private Association of the Faithful, recognized and approved under the Canon Law of the Catholic Church, and working in harmony with the goals of the Bishops' Pro-Life Committee and the local diocesan respect life offices, Priests for Life seeks to: 1. unite, encourage, and provide ongoing training to priests and deacons who give a special emphasis to the "life issues", especially abortion and euthanasia, in their ministries; 2. instill a sense of urgency in all clergy to teach about these issues and to mobilize their people to help stop abortion and euthanasia; 3. assist clergy and laity to work together productively for the cause of life; 4. provide ongoing training and motivation to the entire pro-life movement. All pro-life groups, whether Catholic or Protestant, recognize the benefit of the leadership of the clergy in the pro-life movement and often yearn for more of it. The pro-abortion community also sees the key role such leadership plays, as reflected in former abortionist Dr. Bernard Nathanson's comment to the clergy, "We would have never gotten away with what we did if you had been united, purposeful, and strong." Means to Fulfill our Goals: With the co-operation of bishops and their respect life offices, Priests for Life provides a bi-monthly newsletter to priests and deacons. It is also available to the general public. We offer pro-life seminars and retreats to both clergy and laity. With the permission or their respective ordinaries, the National Director and Associate Director travel the country full time to meet with priests and pro-life groups. Priests for Life offers a wide range of audio and videotapes and brochures, and regularly uses the media of television, radio, and the press to spread the message of life. Funding comes solely through tax-deductible donations.
Priests for Life seeks to link up priests across the country who are actively involved in the pro-life movement, and help them work effectively in union with their local bishop and diocesan programs. 1. We provide training seminars and individual assistance to priests to help them preach more effectively against abortion and euthanasia. 2. We distribute the Priests for Life newsletter, a practical aid for preaching and pro-life activity, to over 45,000 priests in the U.S., free of charge. 3. We produce video and audiotapes, bulletin inserts, homily materials as well as other pro-life resources for clergy and laity. 4. We provide lay pro-life groups with an effective link to the clergy. 5. We link pro-life groups and individuals on the Internet by means of the Priests for Life web site. 6. We syndicate Fr. Pavone's bi-weekly columns to diocesan newspapers across the country. 7. We vigorously proclaim the Gospel of Life in interviews with the national press. Fr. Pavone is frequently quoted in newspapers, radio, and television. 8. We have staff ready 24 hours a day to assist people to find alternatives to abortion. 9. We offer healing and counseling to anyone who has been involved in an abortion.
We are an officially approved assoc.. of the Catholic Clergy who give special emphasis to the pro-life teachings of the Church. We offer ongoing assistance to the clergy in addressing the topics of abortion & euthanasia, and training and resources to the entire pro-life movement.

Note: The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot long survive, but the types of assets and liabilities also must be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
