Who We AreRecording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) a nonprofit volunteer organization is the nation's educational library serving people who cannot effectively read standard print because of visual impairment, dyslexia or other physical disability.

MISSION AND PROGRAMSMissionRFB&D''s mission is to create opportunities for individual success by providing, and promoting the effective use of accessible educational materials. Our Vision is for all people to have equal access to the printed word. ProgramsRFB&D's Learning Through Listening (LTL) Educational Outreach Program (institutional and individual memberships) ensures that educational opportunities remain a reality for students who are blind, visually impaired, learning and/or physically disabled that preclude reading standard print. LTL benefits students in all grade levels. The New York Unit's Educational Outreach staff continues to work with the New York schools to introduce RFB&D's AudioPlus digitally recorded textbooks on CDs to blind & visually impaired students to enable them to obtain their educational materials in an accessible format so they can keep up with their school work.
