What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
MedQuest
a) MedQuest, is a four day, residential program for rising 10th and 11th graders, offered during the summer on the UVM campus and in partnership with the University and various community based organizations in our counties. During one of three sessions, each focused on a different health career cluster related to the Personalized Learning Plans, MedQuest focuses on healthcare career development and skill building activities.
A Day in the Life -University of Vermont Medical Center
A Day in the Life at The UVM Medical Center is a one-day educational program held at the hospital. The program provides Chittenden County high school students in grades 10 through 12 the opportunity to explore the health care field in a community hospital setting. Students will receive confidentiality and infection control training, a three hour job shadow experience and an interactive presentation by a Student Services Specialist from the University of Vermont.
PARTICIPANTS WILL . . .
1) Develop comfort in a health care environment.
2) Interact and connect with various health care professionals.
3) Get an in-depth view of what it’s like to be a health care professional through one job shadow experience.
4) Explore and strengthen skills and resources for health career development.
A Day in the Life- Chittenden/ Grand Isle Visting Nurse Association
A Day in the Life at the VNA is a one-day educational program held at the headquarters and in home settings . The program provides Chittenden County high school students in grades 10 through 12 the opportunity to explore the health care field in a community hospital setting. Students will receive confidentiality and infection control training, a job shadow experience and the chance to interact wtih varied health professionals who work in the home care setting.
A Day in the Life Northwestern Vermont Medical Center
