Funding Needs

Government contracts average 65-80 cents on the dollar, leaving a budget deficit of approx. 20 percent.  For prevention programs such as Preschool Vision Screening (Helen Keller Services for the Blind screens approximately 30,000 children ages 3 to 5 annually as a means to prevent blindness or other visual impairments), there is no government contract and is reliant upon donations and grants.
