What we aim to solve
The greatest challenge Heart of God International Ministries is facing is the need for volunteers and for field missionaries. We are currently working on building our volunteer base through encouraging local church members of Board Members to get involved on some level to help alleviate the burden of work that rests on the administrative office (all volunteer). Additionally, Heart of God International Ministries is in the process of interviewing potential field missionaries for mid- to long-term assignment in critical areas where oversight and growth management are needed to insure financial and spiritual integrity of all indigenous partnerships.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
School Sponsorship Program (Africa)
Children from disadvantaged families are offered a tuition-free education provided to them by school sponsors. Education includes instruction in the Bible by qualified teachers plus a nutritional meal during school term and often during breaks. Entire families and communities are served by our School Sponsorship Programs in Africa.
India Bible School
Bible School conducted free of charge for indigenous pastors and church leaders whereby they are provided with discipleship tools, understanding of proper exegesis of Scripture, and encouragement, oversight and a small stipend to cover transportation costs.
KOFAEL
A micro-loan program for Haitian women helping them develop a business whereby they can support their families and keep their children.

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The heart of Heart of God International Ministries is to fulfill our role (individually and collectively) in the Great Commission, to carry out the plan of God for the nations. Just as the Father sent His Son to the earth, He has sent us—those who are willing to partner with Him to carry the message of salvation to those who have not heard, and to disciple believers to love the Lord and seek to do His will. The mission field may be our home, our community, or a remote village across the globe. It may be a particular people group, a unique culture or a remote tribal village. No matter where we are called as carriers of the Gospel, we will be obedient to that call. The first and foremost purpose of missions is the command of Christ: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…" (Matthew 28:19). Heart of God International Ministries is a network of evangelistic ministries formed to provide a means for believers to respond to this mandate.
The approach we take is multi-faceted and unlimited in scope. HGIM not only preaches and teaches from a Christian perspective, this ministry works hard to address humanitarian needs to relieve the poor and suffering from hearts filled with Christ's love. This organization never discriminates based on race, color, creed, identities, nationalities ... our work is done where need as we reach the impoverished and oppressed with a loving response to their needs in order that they will know that God's love knows no bounds.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Because we are a network of ministries, we will share one example to prevent confusion.
KOFAEL is a micro-loan program legally organized in Haiti under Haitian laws, founded by a young Haitian couple whose goal is to prevent the overwhelming number of indigent mothers from abandoning their children to orphanages due to familial cycle of abject poverty. Babies are too often born and abandoned to unsanctioned orphanages where children are neglect and often subjected to cruel and harsh lifestyles, often living in filth and suffering from gross malnourishment.
Pre-screening women begins with a simple application and interview where a woman is asked about her goals, her lifestyle and her family situation. Once accepted into the program, she is given a small no-interest loan of $50 to begin a small business. She is given training and instruction on how to run a business. She will be given a repayment plan spanning several months so she can begin to benefit from her business immediately. Once she has completed her repayment schedule, she has qualified for the next level loan and the cycle continues. She is meeting with the KOFAEL counselors at least once monthly to receive training, encouragement and learn ideas how to grow her business while caring for her family. She will receive counsel as needed regarding a pregnancy (with referrals for pre-natal care) and how to spend her earnings wisely in order that her children receive care and an education. Once she has repaid her second-tier loan, she will have qualified for the final loan. By this time, she is gainfully employed and successfully caring for her children. Once the final loan is repaid, she graduates from the program and receives a certificate. She now has an ongoing relationship with other businesswomen who have successfully completed the program where they encourage and help one another. Her children are in her custody and thriving.
As of the end of 2015, there have been more than 50 women complete the program and 250 children have been directly impacted by the micro-loan program in Haiti.
Heart of God International Ministries operating in Africa has initiated a micro-loan program in a remote tribal village in Uganda beginning with 17 women. Within two years' time, the program has grown to 70 women and the program is self-sustaining. The initial investment enabled the women to begin their businesses and they are now helping other women in their village to begin their own businesses. This is an ideal example of a successful program which no longer depends on outside investment while continuing to grow and meet the needs in the midst of unimaginable poverty.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Because Heart of God International Ministries is a network comprised of regional activities in Africa, Haiti, India, Israel, and the US Military, a broad spectrum of qualified volunteers have been able to invest their time and experience where needed. This ministry is totally supported by donors through constant fundraising efforts utilizing a variety of means to increase awareness to involve people from all walks of life to mobilize our activities and fund the projects undertaken.
The leaders of Heart of God International Ministries come from varied backgrounds which have prepared them to lead their area of ministry. Because of the talents and training represented in the leadership ranks, collaboration between the leaders affords each one the benefit of wisdom when dealing with challenges, ideas when looking for the best way forward, and support when the job becomes overwhelming.
Heart of God International Ministries is enormously blessed with abilities to achieve our goals, even when the goals themselves change direction due to unexpected need, natural disaster, or meeting new challenges. There is no doubt the capability for organizing, tracking, managing and overseeing projects (domestically and internationally) is available to every leader and volunteer of Heart of God International Ministries.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Overall, Heart of God International Ministries has enjoyed many successes mixed with some challenges of progress still to be made.
* Africa ministry has begun raising the funding for a borehole in South Sudan. There is an issue with land ownership which is presently being resolved. The project is on hold until resolution and sufficient funds have been raised.
* India ministry is finalizing the building phase of a Ministry Center which serves as an orphanage and an educational center for pastors and Christian leaders. This project is still in progress, moving forward as funding becomes available.
* KOFAEL micro-loan program in Haiti has successfully graduated more than 50 women from the program while admitting more to the program and expanding the program into a new region in Haiti.
* Soldiers Bible Ministry has successfully supplied tens of thousands of complete Bibles to chaplains (upon request) to distribute freely to troops who request a copy. Additional materials based on Christian principles which resonate with military personnel are also made available free of charge to chaplains to distribute or to use to enhance their ministry service to the military.
* Child sponsorship programs in Haiti, Uganda, Kenya and India have enjoyed great success which have provided for housing, education, feeding programs, Christian training, and care for hundreds of children
* Emergency response team went to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake offering medical relief and relocation activities to a group of men, women and children.
* Heart of God International Ministries now supports missionaries in the field in Haiti; the missionary program looks to expand in the next year to include field missionaries in India and Africa.
