Employment Placement and Job Training
The most challenging task for immigrant and refugee families includes finding their first job in America. Services include how to: 1)Conduct a job search, especially on the internet; 2)Complete and submit a job application; 3)Prepare a resume; and 4) Prepare for a successful interview. Pars networks with local employers to develop active employment leads for clients and holds at least two Job Fairs during the year. Pars now provides immigration legal services and citizenship programming for underserved immigrants in Orange County. Our new services include: immigration relief screening; legal workshops and seminars; 1-1 consultations and paralegal support to complete immigration documentation e.g. Adjustment of Status, Employment Authorization, Family Petitions, and Travel Documents/ Re-entry Permits; citizenship preparation services, Know your Right educational events; plus local collaborative efforts to raise awareness and advocate on behalf of immigrant concerns at the local and national level.
Social Adjustment Case Management
Pars’ case managers strive to connect families to community resources by continually communicating with partner agencies to ensure that clients have the support and referrals they need to navigate through the United States’ social, medical, and governmental systems.
Our case managers assess the social and economic needs of each of our clients in regards to housing, low-cost energy programs, and healthcare coverage. They may also make referrals to healthcare, mental health counseling, health screenings, and low-cost clinics.
Additionally, case managers can help by making phone calls regarding the following matters:
Housing Searches
Doctor Visits
Government Programs
CalFresh, Medi-Cal, and CalWORKs Applications
School Enrollments
Employment Development Department (EDD) Applications
Metro TAP Cards
College Financial Aid Applications

- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
- We have a promotion process that anticipates and mitigates implicit and explicit biases about people of color serving in leadership positions.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
