What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Allstars
Allstars is our "traditional" social skills classes. By traditional we mean we meet weekly at the same time and same place and with the same group of kids (aka members) Allstars, as a social skills group, though is "untraditional" in many ways
Future Allstars
Those that enroll in Future Allstars camp will find that they are being expected to be involved socially the entire day and there is little down time to escape, avoid, or be invisible. There are also many opportunities to have personality conflicts, become irritated with someone, etc. that are similar to day to day real life situations everyone is expected to learn to work through. Staff assists all members through challenges created naturally in a real world social environment.
Stamina, problem solving, understanding cause and effect, regulation, learning to be cooperative, and acceptance of outcomes is emphasized at Future Allstars.
Communication, personal responsibility, team work, sharing ideas, and remaining involved are heavily emphasized.
League of Friends
League of Friends is our program designed to increase the willingness, the interest, the desire to be social with others out in the community! LOF helps families and kids of all ages and skill level go out and have fun!
Transitional Programming
The Transitional umbrella includes the Basic Living Skills (BLS) where families meet weekly to set goals with the young adult on the most basic parts of being a young adult-jobs, finances, mental health, socialization, role in the family, driving, etc to move toward potential move out of the home to independent living. It then moves to Pre-Transitional where the family meets three times a week to further the goals set in BLS with the end goal of move out to independent living that matches their needed level of support or goal direction. All portions of the Transitional umbrella are completed through telehealth modalities and depending on location can also include in person supervision and meetings. The final steps of the umbrella of Transition is full move out to either the UTH male or female tenant houses or an apartment, group home, dorm, etc. In the final portion UTH supports through weekly sessions the young adult until they are on their feet mentally, socially, and financially.
H.O.P.E., for Families
H.O.P.E. for Families is here to help enrich and empower families, at school, home, and within the community. Our goal is to strengthen families by providing support and bonding opportunities, school advocacy, and more through additional avenues.
Social Meetups
The social programs (aka meetups) provide multiple naturalistic social opportunities for varying ages to come together and socialize under adult supervision. The social opportunities take place either at one of the two free standing UTH locations, Frisco or Denton, or the members meet up at a local business in the DFW area. The meetups are grouped by age and grade (Pre-K, K-5th, 3rd-5th, 6th-12th, and young adult) and no one is excluded. The meetups address poor mental health rooted in low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence, diminished communication skills, and a lack of positive connection to others by providing a wide range of activities that children and young adults enjoy and feel successful in. Meetups are primarily on the weekends.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The staff at United Through H.O.P.E., Inc. strongly believes that no one raises theirself, rather it takes a community of interested, imaginative, caring, and hopeful individuals to reach one's fullest potential and we have created a nonprofit to help reach a wider range.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our innovative social skills programs focus on developing leadership skills for everyone regardless of age and are non-exclusionary (hint no diagnosis needed to participate just a desire to grow socially)
Each of the proven programs created by United Through H.O.P.E., Inc. are based upon the theory that skills should be taught globally in a naturalistic environment where practice leads to progress and success.
All of our programs are designed to foster tolerance, acceptance, guidance, leadership, awareness, empathy, self-confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging and empowerment all while building independence.
All of our programs are meant to be fun and age and/or developmentally appropriate. As learning is supposed to be engaging.
We recognize that everyone is at different degrees of social adeptness and have designed multiple programs to fit varying needs, ages, goals.
Many of our programs have off site components to build and practice a connection with the community and the
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Throughout her training Dr. Harrier has focused on the developmental, biological, behavioral, and neurological underpinnings to various disabilities and disorders, and strongly believes that a varied and open minded approach leads to better understanding and generalization of skills.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
At UTH we know that being social is about more than just talking to someone! It is about experiences, getting along, sticking with something, coping with what real life throws at you, and accepting support!
